$40K in 40 days - Power of Fasting & Prayer

We were able to raise $40,000 in 40 days!

So, here is the brief story I would like to share. This is the shortest version of many many miracles that happened within the 40 days of Fasting & Prayer.

Earlier this year, I felt in my heart that I was supposed to do something more than just taking care of few children financially in Nepal. I just didn't know what. So I did my First Ever fasting of my life because Bible is Big about fasting and praying for the clarity of vision. After 40 days of fasting, YES! I was clear that I needed to buy a land and build orphanages and take care of as many children as I can. I can not save the world and God did not ask me to save the world but I can make a difference in few lives for sure. So, I told my mother Bimala Thapa (Founder & Director of Asha Nepal) to go look for the land to build orphanage, out of Faith that that is what I am called to do and with the Faith that along the way God will provide me with all the necessitates including the finances. That was the end of my 1st 40 day fasting- and I received the clarity of vision as what I am supposed to do.

“Now FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrew 11:1

So, after looking for several land, mom found this perfect land that had water, electricity, ½ price off, extra bonus land attached to it, etc. For sure we knew that was the land we were to supposed to buy. So mom went to the land with some other families, friends and ministers, and thanked God for giving us that land. They prayed over it, claimed it and put a down-payment for it because we knew in Faith that God had already given us that land, even though we had zero money to start with because it's not how much money we had in pocket but how Big of a Faith we have, better yet how Big of a God we have!.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress” James 1:27 And because we are in alignment with God's will by wanting to take care of orphans, I knew for sure He was going to provide for us.

Hence started my 2nd 40 day of fasting.

We put the down-payment for the land, now we needed $25,000 to buy the land. So I started praying and asking God to drop that Gold from Heaven. Because I am a citizen of Heaven by receiving Jesus as my Lord and Savior in my heart, which means I have a legal authority in heaven as an heir of Salvation. And in Heaven there is a street of Gold like Bible describes. So, I told God to drop that piece of Gold from Heaven NOW because I need it to buy land!

Right next day, about 10am, some anonymous person that I have never met before called me and offered me a matching donation of $15,000, if I could raise $15,000 within 2 months, by July 31st. Total miracle. Long story short, we were able to raise $15K a week before the deadline. Every money that came in was a total miracle, from unexpected sources. So, I told my anonymous person that I was done collecting $15k. 3 days later I received a text message early morning from my anonymous person and told me “my wife and I have been praying and we wanted to help your orphanage project with little bit more money, so we transferred $25K, instead off $15K).

TOTAL MIRACLE!

God DID drop that piece of Gold from Heaven!

JEHOVAH JIREH!!!

Total of $40K in 40 days.

I could trace back 2 huge miracles of my life to fasting: Clarity of vision and financial provision for the land. After all all the richest and wisest men in Bible like King David, King Solomon, Job, Daniel fasted, prayed and trusted God with everything and took a huge step of obedience in Faith.

So, we named this project Garden of Eden, because that is where God created everything beautiful and gave a breathe of Life.
